Pumpkin Patch Dirt Cake

Looking for another fun and yummy snacktivity? We love a classic dirt cake but this pumpkin patch dirt cake is perfect for this time of the year. These cups are so easy to make and yummy. My daughters had so much fun helping to make them.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pkg of Oreos

  • 2 boxes of Instant Chocolate Pudding (3.9oz)

  • Milk

  • Cool Whip

  • Confectioners’ Sugar

  • Cream Cheese

  • Brach’s Mellowcreme Pumpkins

  • optional – gummy worms

All of the ingredients above are staples in our house, except Oreos do not last very long here. You can make individual dirt cups or you could make this as a large dirt cake in a 9×13 pan. I’ll link some cups at the end of this post! We chose to make dirt cups for 2 reasons, as an activity for the girls because they are easier to fill and being able to grab one quickly out of the fridge when they want a snack. These dirt cups are perfect for a Halloween party too!

TIME TO MAKE THE PUMPKIN PATCH DIRT CUPS

Grab all of your ingredients, your kids and lets get started! Place Oreos into a zip lock bag and crush them up to small pieces, then set aside. Now pour your milk into a large mixing bowl. Dump in two packs of the instant chocolate pudding and start mixing together. Now add in the cool whip, cream cheese(make sure this is soft) and mix until well combined. Sprinkle in the sugar until it is all evenly mixed. Now if you are using your cups, line them up or if you are using a 9×13 baking dish, set it out. Place the Oreos in a bowl for easy grabbing to make the layers of the dirt cake. My girls grabbed their cups first, sprinkled in Oreos on the bottom and then spooned in the pudding mixture and so on. After they made a few layers we topped with pumpkins and little pumpkin patch signs. How CUTE!? These pumpkin patch dirt cake cups are SO good and SO easy to make.

In a large zip lock bag, place batter near the corner, cut open and pipe into donut pan, making one circle. Don’t put in too much batter. See my image for reference. Bake for about 13-16 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Take donuts out and let cool before dipping into the ganache.

This makes 12 desserts or one 9×13 pan. Another fun activity for you and your kids that is also delicious. Who doesn’t love chocolate??!! Have fun making these! Make sure to follow along on Instagram & Pinterest @2hungrydaughters
