School Lunch Box Ideas
Well if you’re from Minnesota you really aren’t sure if it is Winter or Spring right now. The days are dragging and you’ve run out of cold lunch inspiration for your kids. Have no fear, 2hungrydaughters is here to inspire you to get creative with your kids cold lunch.
Packing a fun and nutritious lunch for your kids doesn’t have to be a daunting task. Cold lunch ideas can offer up a variety of flavors, take minimal time to prepare, and are easy to transport to school. Here are 5 easy and delicious cold lunch ideas for your kids.
Tips for Success
First off, I have 4 tips that have caused success for me and my girls when packing their lunches.
putting on a face on one of the items, this is silly and funny
get creative and use shapes to cut out their food
make it colorful with fruits and vegetables
leave a personalized note, if they can read.
Moms, I know you’re dragging. Lunches take a lot of energy. Use these ideas to help you skip the thought process and provide your littles with yummy food for them to devour during lunch, that is as long as they aren’t busy chatting with their friends. Less chatting for munching, I like to say when I am working at lunch and recess at my daughers school.
First lunch box we have hummus with crackers, cucumbers, cantaloupe, cheese stick and organic chocolate chip cookies.
The second lunch shows chocolate dessert hummus, cinnamon graham cracker dog bones, carrots, strawberries, mini star shaped protein pancake bites and a gogurt.
This lunch we have 88 acres dark chocolate sunflower seed spread, fruit, veggies, peppermint patty and some veggie straws.
A 2hungrydaughters favorite lunch featuring our pb&j tacos. Turning a classic into something fun! Along with animal crackers and dark chocolate, sea salt covered graham crackers from trader joe’s.
One final lunch box idea — pizza roll ups! Your kids love these for lunch and supper, why not have them for school lunch too? How easy!!! Add some marinara too if they want.
