Air Fryer Chicken

Another weeknight meal coming in hot. This air fryer chicken is juicy, tender and flavorful. This chicken is steamed to absolute perfection. Using your air fryer is the best way to get chicken with crispy skin, less time and no deep frying. The best part about air fryer chicken, is that it is so versatile and pairs with so many different sides.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 whole chicken

  • Killer Hogs AP rub

  • Poultry seasoning (2 Gringos Chupacabra Cluckalicious)

  • Habanero seasoning (optional)

  • Spicy Italian seasoning (Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Pizza & Pasta)

  • Lemon juice or Olive/Avocado oil

HOW DO I MAKE AIR FRYER CHICKEN?

First up, in a small bowl combine all of your seasonings together. For the binder, grab your chicken and heavily coat it with lemon juice. My best advice is to have extra spice jars that you can add your own seasoning to. We use them for so many different things; sprinkles, steak seasoning, etc. The spice jars make it easier to evenly shake your seasoning over whatever it may be that you made. Next up, coat your chicken with the seasoning and pre heat the air fryer to 360 degrees.

Place the whole chicken into the air fryer basket and cook for 20 minutes. Flipping it over halfway through and cooking for another 15-20 minutes; until it reaches 165 degrees internally. This will make the best air fryer chicken you have ever had, I promise. Once it is done, take it out and let it rest for about 5 minutes before cutting into it. Serve it up and enjoy!

This air fryer chicken stores in the fridge for about 3 days and is perfect leftover on salads or in a wrap. I love having left over chicken in the fridge. Below I have linked our favorite spices as well as the spice jars.
