orzo
beef smoked sausage or chicken sausage
chicken stock
heavy cream
soy sauce
onion powder
red pepper flakes
salt & pepper to season
spinach
freshly grated parmesan cheese
One-pan wonder.
Another delicious and easy Orzo recipe. Are you ready? Lets go! First, add olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat. Cook sausage until browned and cooked through. Next, add in butter, minced garlic and orzo. Toast all together for about 60 seconds. Add in chicken broth, heavy cream, soy sauce and seasonings. Mix together.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then turn the heat down. Cover and let simmer for 10 minutes. BE SURE TO CONTINUE TO STIR SO THAT THE ORZO DOES NOT STICK TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN. When the orzo is tender and the liquid is absorbed, it is ready. Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted. Top with freshly grated parmesan cheese. Grab a bowl and enjoy.
