Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps

Change up your Taco Tuesday with these turkey taco lettuce wraps. Don’t get me wrong, I love beef but this is an easy way to change up the way you eat tacos. This is a healthier, low carb option. Kids won’t eat lettuce wraps? Put the meat in a hard shell, soft shell, burrito bowl or as a quesadilla. Follow along below!

INGREDIENTS

  • ground turkey

  • garlic powder

  • cumin

  • paprika

  • oregano

  • chili powder

  • salt

  • small onion

  • water

  • tomato sauce

  • lettuce for the wraps - head of lettuce or butter lettuce

  • cheese & tomatoes for topping

Delicious Lettuce Wraps

First thing, brown your turkey. When the turkey is no longer pink add in all of your seasonings and mix together. Add in the onion, water and tomato sauce, mix everything together and cover. Simmer on low for 20-30 minutes. Until the sauce isn’t too runny.

Wash and dry your lettuce wraps and set aside. Once the meat is ready, place on the center of each leaf, top with whatever fixings you would like and enjoy!

So, there you have it… a healthier alternative to Taco Tuesday. These lettuce wraps are so good, you can pack them for lunch too!
