Oriental Chicken Salad
We have been on quite a salad kick lately. This oriental chicken salad taste just like the one from Applebee’s back in the day. I haven’t been there in years but in college my friends loved going there. This recipe is E A S Y and convenient. Plus, it has homemade dressing that you can bottle up and save to use on other salads. Follow along.
INGREDIENTS
chicken
romaine/spinach blend
red cabbage
shredded carrots
green onions
sesame seeds
chow mein noodles
honey
rice vinegar
mayo
dijon mustard
Salad Time
First up, preheat your air fryer if you need to. Throw the chicken in and cook until it is ready! While the chicken is in the air fryer, get out a large bowl and lets build our salad.
Place greens, cabbage, carrots, and onions in a bowl and mix together. In a small mixing bowl, add honey, rice vinegar, mayo and dijon mustard and mix together until combined. Store in a mason jar or any type of storage container.
Next, place chicken on bed of greens and top with chow mein noodles and sesame seeds. Drizzle on the homemade salad dressing and eat it up.
HOW EASY WAS THAT!? You can prep this for lunches as well, just leave the chicken and the dressing off until you are ready.
Swaps or add ins? Mandarin oranges, edamame beans, cashews, bell peppers or cucumbers even. You can also use rotisserie chicken instead of crispy chicken!
This is the best crunchy, hearty, restaurant quality salad made right at home!!
Enjoy :)
