INGREDIENTS

  • corn

  • milk

  • cream cheese

  • unsalted butter

  • sugar

  • salt & pepper

Corn in a velvety cream sauce.

Creamed corn has always been on my list of recipes to make. I finally got around to it the other night when my mom was in town for dinner. It turned out to be one of the best and easiest side dishes I have ever made. Let’s go. First off, add corn, milk, sugar, salt and pepper to a sauce pan and cook over medium heat. Stir to combine the ingredients. Add in cream cheese and butter. Then heat up over medium high heat, stirring frequently. Until the cream cheese and butter are fully melted and all of the ingredients are thoroughly combined. If your corn seems runny, continue cooking over high heat to burn off the excess liquid.

When it is velvety smooth, add fresh cracked pepper, serve and enjoy! This creamed corn recipe is easy to make and better than store bought. This recipe can easily be doubled and you might want to, just to have more :)
