Tell me something better than waking up on a Saturday morning to a fresh cup of coffee and a batch of chocolate chip muffins baking in the oven. My oldest daughter will always come down the stairs and go, “mmm, mom what smells so yummy!?” If you’ve tried my chocolate chip cookie recipe, well then you know these chocolate chip muffins surely won’t disappoint.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 egg

  • mini chocolate morsels

DO YOU KNOW THE MUFFIN MAN?

The Muffin MAN! Any Shrek lovers or is it just us!? HA! Alright, let’s get to making these muffins. First up, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray your muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray or you can place liners in it. Whatever you choose, these chocolate chip muffins will be delicious. Now, in a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Set that aside for now. In another medium bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil and the egg.

Now it is time to pour your wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix it together until it is all combined. The batter will be a little lumpy and that is just fine. Next, slowly add in your chocolate chips. Once it is all mixed evenly, spoon the batter into the muffin tin. Fill the cups all the way to the top if you want more of a dome shaped muffin, or 3/4 full if you want smaller chocolate chip muffins. Top the batter with extra chocolate chips if you would like. Bake for about 15-20 minutes.

Smell that? Delicious. Take the chocolate chip muffins out, serve them up and enjoy!

These chocolate chip muffins are easy, delicious and sure to impress anyone! They only take 30 minutes and require mostly ingredients that you should already have in your pantry. Give these a try!
