Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich
If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen. But really our version of the Nashville hot chicken sandwich is on fire. It is full of flavor, juicy and provides massive crunch. We had some friends come over for dinner one night and we whipped these up, leaving them wanting more. The flavor in this sandwich truly is kickin. *kapow!*
Although this recipe is not kid friendly, I encourage you to make these sandwiches when you have guests in town or for a “stay at home date night.” You could also make these as little sliders and serve them at a party. Everyone loves a good hot chicken sandwich and I have got the perfect recipe right here! Let’s get to the ingredients.

6 chicken breasts or thighs
Dutch oven
cooking oil

THINGS ARE HEATING UP!
Alright, it is time to dive in and whip up these flavor bursting Nashville hot chicken sandwiches. First up, you will want to marinate your chicken up to 24 hours, we did for just 2 hours prior to dinner. Let’s make the marinade. In a large bowl, add in your killer hogs hot sauce, buttermilk, salt, pepper and spiceology Nashville hot. Whisk that all together and place your chicken breasts into the mixture to soak up the flavor. Place them in the fridge and come back to grab them out in a few hours or however long you prefer.
Next up, in a medium sized bowl. Add in flour, spiceology Nashville hot and killer hogs AP rub. Mix it all together and we will start coating each chicken breast. Place the coated breast on a wire rack. In a Dutch oven, pour a large amount of oil in (about 6 cups) and heat until it reaches 325 degrees. While we wait on the oil, let’s put together our dry seasoning mix. In a small bowl, add in spiceology Nashville hot, killer hogs AP rub, brown sugar, crushed red pepper, chili powder and paprika. Whisk it all together until it is combined and set aside.
Once the oil is hot enough, add in your chicken and cook until each breast reaches an internal temp of 165 degrees (about 7 minutes.) Once it has reached the temperature, place them on a wire rack. Now, you are going to take 2 cups of the remaining oil and mix it into your dry seasoning mix and whisk together. Once you have it combined, go ahead and fully cover each chicken breast.
Next, toast your buns. Anyway you like to! FINALLY, it is time to build your Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches. We like to put mayo, tomatoes, pickles and butter lettuce on ours. Get ready for an explosion of beautiful flavor in your mouth. These sandwiches are dynamite.
