Cupcake Puffy Painting
Cardboard painting but make it fluffy and fun! Say goodbye to a boring afternoon with this cupcake puffy painting craft. These shaving cream paints are so easy to make and fun to play with, your kids might even ask to lick the cream. I saw this project on Instagram and immediately had to give it a try, my girls LOVED it.
SUPPLIES
Elmer’s school glue
shaving cream
food coloring
scissors/knife
cardboard or construction paper
permanent marker
popsicle sticks
sprinkles
muffin tin or bowls
Gather your supplies and start drawing some cupcakes on the cardboard. Feel free to copy from mine, they aren’t perfect but they will do. I chose to use cardboard instead of construction paper but you can use either. Once you have your cupcakes cut out and ready to rock, we will make the puffy paint.
For the paint, you can use anything that resembles a muffin tin or separate bowls. Squeeze about a table spoon of glue in the bottom, add in shaving cream and food coloring. Mix it all together, yes it may get a tad messy. The puffy paint does not have to be accurately measured. Just make sure you have equal parts glue and shaving cream. I used popsicle sticks to mix it together and for the girls to use as their “paint brushes.”
Call down the kiddos, it is time to paint!! Let them get creative and don’t forget to top with sprinkles! This cupcake puffy painting craft was a hit with my girls. In the end they wanted more things to paint so I gave them each a big slice of cardboard and they went wild. This puffy paint is so easy to make and fun for the kids to play with.
