Creamy White Pasta Sauce
Creamy white pasta sauce with only a few ingredients. Yup, that’s right.. My dear mom friends, I am telling you this recipe is quick and easy. You can make it in minutes, any day of the week. Add in chicken and vegetables for a protein kick.
All you need is heavy whipping cream and Parmesan cheese. The key flavor ingredient in this sauce is the Parmesan cheese. So, you should either buy it freshly grated in your grocer’s refrigerated section, or even better, buy a block of fresh Parmesan cheese and quickly grate four ounces (1/2 cup) for this recipe.
INGREDIENTS
garlic
oil
heavy whipping cream
Parmesan cheese
pasta
salt & pepper to taste
CALLING ALL PASTA LOVERS!
The best part about this recipe? You can use almost any type of pasta noodle. We have made it with Alfredo noodles, linguine and tortellini. My husband and kids prefer tortellini, where I enjoy linguine. Ready to cook up some pasta? This creamy white pasta sauce is so good, I am pretty sure my family could eat this twice a week. Alright, let’s go!
First up, cook your pasta according to package instructions and set aside. Or you can cook the pasta at the same time. This sauce is so easy that you can navigate both. Heat up the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add in your whipping cream and whisk it until it is bubbly. Once you reach that point, it is time to sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese. Keep whisking the sauce until it reaches your desired thickness. As the sauce sits, it will thicken more too. When you are ready, add your pasta into the sauce and mix together. Garnish with some salt, pepper, fresh parsley or basil.
This creamy white pasta sauce is one of the easiest recipes I’ve made, as well as delicious. There are so many ways you can prepare this. Add in some chicken, shrimp or even broccoli. Serve along side some roasted veggies or a perfectly grilled steak. Honestly the options are endless! Before I go, a few tips… the key to making a smooth sauce is to use a whisk, which works like a very low-tech blender and perfectly combines your sauce ingredients. I used a wooden spoon but prefer to use a whisk.
