INGREDIENTS
loaf of Texas Toast
eggs
milk
cinnamon
nutmeg
vanilla
French Toast, cumin up!
Lets get things rocking. Before we get the mixture made, heat up a skillet over medium high heat. Next, add your milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla to a large, shallow bowl and mix together. Move over towards your skillet and start dipping each sides of the bread into the mixture and placing onto the skillet. Mine was large enough to cook 3 slices at once. Cook both sides until they are browned. When ready, place them on a baking sheet in a single layer. When all the pieces are cooked, place the baking sheet into the freezer for atleast an hour.
When frozen, take out and place the French Toast pieces in a large ziplock baggie and remove the excess air.
Make ahead freezer French Toast can be take out one or two at a time, popped in the toaster oven and topped with syrup and fresh fruit in no time.
Back to school mornings can really be difficult and this make ahead Freezer French toast can help make deciding breakfast easy.
A few tips
place on a baking sheet first to prevent the slices from sticking together in the ziplock bag
